What We Believe

The Bible
We believe the Bible is the insprired and only infallible, authoritative written Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16)

The Trinity
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. ( Matthew 28:19, Colossians 2:9)

Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His miracles; His atoning death; His bodily resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and His bodily, future return to this earth. (Luke 1:26, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

Forgiveness
We believe the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ. (Hebrews 9:2)

The New Birth

We believe regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation. (John 3:7)
 

Baptism
We believe in baptism of the believer as a symbolic act in water, following Christ’s example. In order to be eligible for baptism, one needs only to believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Baptism does not make someone a Christian, it shows that they already are one. It symbolizes death to sin and new life in Christ and beyond that baptism symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. (Matthew 3: 13-17)

Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit enters each believer and is intimate with us and through this intimacy directs us in this world. Through the operation of the Spirit, the believer truly experiences Immanuel, “God with us.” (Acts 2:4, 1 Corinthians 12: 4-11)

Sanctification
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. (Ephesians 4:30, Galatians 5:13)

Eternal Life
We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the saved to everlasting life and the lost to separation from God. (2 Thessalonians 1-9, Romans 6:23)
